December Cheer with our 4th graders

December 14, 2017

Our 4th graders had a very busy December preparing for the holidays. During the month they made ornaments and decorations from recyclable materials and were able to adorn the town tree with these festive creations. In the midst of a joyful evening, they sang “Feliz Navidad” and “Silent Night” and later joined in singing with our chorus and our middle school students.

Our chorus had extra performances this season. The students merrily performed at the Town Tree Lighting Ceremony. They also went caroling for the senior citizens at Bristol Glen and later sang carols at Newton Memorial Hospital, bringing smiles on the faces of those being serenaded.

The band and chorus had been practicing for their December 13th Holiday Concert. Several songs including “Good King Wenceslas”, “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas” and “Jingle Bells” were performed by the band. Then our chorus sang “The Little Drummer Boy”, “Carol of the Bells”, “Dominick, the Donkey”, “Bidi Bom”, “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch”, and “All I Want for Christmas is You”. Both groups were fantastic! What a musical delight for friends & family to enjoy!
